Our Services
How
it Works
Our only focus is to fight for the rights of property
owners and reduce their tax burden to the City and County Governments.
The actual tax amount that is levied on the property is based upon three
factors: 1) the assessed value of the property, 2) the tax rate or
millage rate and 3) the individual property owner’s eligibility for
various exemptions.
Exemptions apply to individual property owners based on
their eligibility. For instance, most counties offer a homestead
exemption. Some counties offer other exemptions such as, Veteran’s
exemptions, senior exemptions, and low income exemptions. Your
individual situation will dictate the exemptions that you qualify for.
Due to the individual nature of exemptions, the amount of your
neighbor's tax bill is not a basis for an appeal.
As for the millage rate, there is not much that you can
do to lower it, other than becoming politically active in your county's
budget setting and spending decisions.
We reduce your tax liability by appealing the county’s
appraised value of your property to the Board of Equalization. The
county's appraised value is also used by the cities for their tax
purposes. Therefore, any reduction that we win for your property at the
county level will also carry over to your city tax bill!
Getting the MAXIMUM property tax REDUCTION requires both KNOWLEDGE and
EXPERIENCE!
